Rena Riffel Films Enlists DJ Tracy Young and Ferosh Records for SHOWGIRL The Movie
Media Giants – West Hollywood, CA (April 8, 2010) *** Rena Riffel Films announced today that DJ Tracy Young’s label, Ferosh Records, has struck a deal to work on the upcoming MGM SHOWGIRLS inspired independent feature titled SHOWGIRL.  DJ Tracy Young will be instrumental in supervising the music selection and producing original tracks to be used in the film and promotional marketing campaign.  Ferosh Records will also be handling the distribution of the SHOWGIRL soundtrack.
“DJ Tracy Young has been on the forefront of the music scene for more than two decades, working with superstar talents,” stated Rena Riffel, Rena Riffel Films/SHOWGIRL producer. “It is a great honor and pleasure to partner with Tracy Young and Ferosh Records on SHOWGIRL. We are very excited about creating cinematic history together.”
In addition, Young will make her acting debut in “Showgirl,” which is slated to begin filming Summer 2010. Young’s acting role in the film is not disclosed at this time.
“We’ve been looking to expand our current catalogue at Ferosh Records and SHOWGIRL is an exciting international project for the label to engage in,” stated DJ Tracy Young. “I have always been a huge fan of the cult classic SHOWGIRLS movie. Acting is something that I have been readying myself for. Rena’s trust and faith in my talent is fearless.  I am looking forward to our first day filming on set!” 
It has been over 15 years since the original SHOWGIRLS movie hit theatres. Rena Riffel’s follow-up indie feature will satiate fans appetite for more SHOWGIRLS. Rena Riffel will play the role of Penny Slot. Penny Slot is a "30 something year old" Vegas stripper M.I.L.F., continuing her quest to become the star dancer in a seedy world full of witchcraft, temptation, and prostitution.  Against all odds, she must rise to the top and win the star spot in a dance show before her secret past catches up to her. SHOWGIRL is described as: SHOWGIRLS meets SUNSET BOULEVARD meets MULHOLLAND DRIVE.
