las vegas – march 22, 2010 – “The Ultimate Tribute to Sir Elton John & Billy Joel” starring veteran tribute artists Jeffrey Allen and Michael John will open for a limited engagement at the Las Vegas Rocks Café’s Embassy Theatre on Thursday, March 25, 2010.  They will headline on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 9 p.m.

Jeffrey Allen and Michael John have joined forces to create a highly successful show that has audiences raving.  Just like the original tour, each artist performs a solo set with a killer five-to-six piece rock ‘n’ roll band, and then culminate the show with a face-to-face set featuring both of them playing together on two pianos and trading off lyrics on each song they perform.

This true rock ‘n’ roll show provides a night of hit songs, energetic performances and outrageous costumes.  In addition, the dynamic duo sprinkles the show with funny performance bits, sing-along parts, and spontaneous humor.  Both men come to the stage with viable show business credits.

Allen, visually and through his performance, captures Elton John in the 70s and current day.  He is known for his captivating entertainment prowess and unbelievable recreation of Elton’s outrageous costumes.
Allen was born in Indiana and raised in Ft. Lauderdale , Fla.   His professional career began in 1988 as a solo act, playing keyboards and singing at upscale establishments in Ft. Lauderdale . That high profile exposure led to Allen opening for John Sebastian, an ex-member of "Loving Spoonful," at the famed “Musicians.” He went on to record with Dionne Warwick and the Birds for the AIDS benefit album "Legacy." Shortly afterwards, Allen was invited to perform his original song “Don't Mind Feelin’ Good” and “The Christmas Song” on several Miami television shows, which have seen regular airplay since 1990. Allen 's career has taken him all over the world performing in England, Germany, Norway and most of the Caribbean and throughout the states including the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Ga. Eventually landing in Las Vegas, he performed as Elton John in “Legends in Concert.”

Michael John, a native of Las Vegas , Nev. , found out early that he had the voice of Billy Joel. He worked hard at perfecting his Billy Joel show and landed a gig playing in the world famous “Legends In Concert” portraying the famous piano man.  After “Legends,” John appeared on national television twice on the FOX network’s “Performing As…” talent show as Billy Joel receiving great reviews.

John has worked for many entertainment companies and performed at conventions, corporate events, birthday celebrations, holiday events, and clubs around the country. He has a long song list that he mastered, from the familiar, “Only the Good Die Young” and “Piano Man,” to the classic “Angry Young Man” and “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant.” In addition to being a celebrity look-alike, he can play the piano, sing, and entertain with the same intensity and passion.
