When I met with Ken Norton at The Jewish Film Festival several months ago, he was of the same stature when I saw him at several championship fights I covered for Celebrity Scene News. Ken Norton exemplifies strength from within. In fact, when he faced Muhammad Ali in 1978, he read ''Think and Grow Rich'' by Napoleon Hill, 20 times. But Norton has faced terrible obstacles throughout his boxing career. In February 26,1986, he crashed his car on the 10 freeway and was thrown from his automobile. Then in April 21,2009, he had a quadruple by-pass. The doctors said he would never walk again. They were wrong. Ken Norton through sheer determination and Gods grace, came back to inspire kids through speaking engagements. Norton then released two books, Seek The Truth and Going the Distance.'' My life experiences, have enabled me to inspire people of all walks of life and to tell them how God blessed me.''Norton said.

Today Ken is speaking with Damian Chapa, the star of ''Brando Unauthorized, about some of his future films to be released, Chapa has always been a fan of Norton. In the early part of his career Chapa was an amateur boxer. Norton through his misfortunes", learned to face the reality of his future. He learned to seek the truth about his life and how he could benefit others from his near death experiences. Ken is finishing his new book "Seek the Truth" which will released later this year Publish Post on Amazon. 

Ken Norton is the great example of how to overcome obstacles and be positive when all seems lost. Ken Norton won the Napoleon Hill Award in 1973 for positive thinking. He was inducted in The World Boxing Hall of Fame in 1989 and the " Intermational Boxing Hall of Fame" in 1992. He was inducted in  San Diego Hall of Champions Breitbard Hall of Fame in 2001, U.S. Marine Corp Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 and  WBC Hall of Fame in 2008.

“A Double Life” Exposed at “Oscar® Noir”

Beverly Hills, CA – “A Double Life” (1947), the psychological drama from director George Cukor and writers Ruth Gordon and Garson Kanin, will be screened as the next feature in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ series “Oscar Noir: 1940s Writing Nominees from Hollywood’s Dark Side” on Monday, August 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The film will be introduced by Oscar®-winning screenwriter Marc Norman (“Shakespeare in Love”).
The film received four Academy Award® nominations, including Directing (Cukor) and Writing – Original Screenplay (Gordon and Kanin). Ronald Colman won a Best Actor Oscar for his change-of-pace role as an actor whose performance as Othello starts to affect his personal life, and Miklos Rozsa took home an Oscar for Music Score of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture.
At 7 p.m., the MGM Tex Avery cartoon short “Bad Luck Blackie” (1949) and “Captain Marvel’s Secret,” the final chapter from the 1941 serial “Adventures of Captain Marvel,” will be screened as part of the evening’s pre-feature program.
“Oscar Noir” is a summer-long series featuring 15 film noir classics from the 1940s, all of which were nominated in writing categories. Over the weekend, his collaboration with Red Café, Gorilla Zoe, Ya Boy and The Jackie Boyz, titled “Wish U Would” saw a premature leak. The song, off his upcoming debut Tha Alumni, was unmixed and not mastered. Today, he releases the official version.

“We decided to push it since it’s already out now”, Ill Will explains to Sermon’s Domain. “The record means a lot to me because it represents each major area of the rap geography. Red Café representing the Mecca of Hip-Hop, New York. Then you got Gorilla Zoe from the ATL (Dirty South) and Ya Boy throwing up the Dubs.”

“I wanted to make a mainstream street record that all coasts and regions could feel attached to instead of just another predictable West Coast collaboration record, which is to be expected from me. I wanted to show the world that I fuck with the East and the South just as much as the West,” says Your Wifey's Favorite DJ. “Tha Alumni” is expected to drop in 4th Quarter 2010.

THE LEGACY OF ALI WOODSON LIVES ON! July 25, 2010 Gwen Majors, owner of MELODICCHIC RECORDS met with the family of the late Ali Woodson today to include Mrs. Juanita  Woodson, his daughter, and his neice.
